Island Wool

On Tristan da Cunha, wool from the island’s sheep has long been part of everyday island life, carefully transformed by hand into something warm and useful. The wool is sheared, washed, picked, carded and spun by hand by Islanders before being used for knitting. Made from natural wool, each batch has its own natural colour and character, so shades and tones can vary from one piece to another. Each item carries the care of the person who made it. Explore the collection and discover handmade Island Wool from one of the world’s most remote communities.
