On Tristan da Cunha, the wool from the island’s sheep is carefully spun and knitted by hand, turning a local resource into something warm and useful.
These hats are made from natural, hand-spun island wool by island women and community members. Made by hand on one of the world’s most remote inhabited islands, each hat carries the character of Tristan’s wool and the care that goes into making it.
Choose from Black, Grey or Salt and Pepper, with several Tristan-inspired designs available, including plain, “Tristan”, “Tristan da Cunha”, and styles featuring two stripes in the seam. For a specific design, please contact Tourism at tourism@tdc-gov.com.
