New EU Customs Charges – Effective 1 July 2026

Notice to Customers in the European Union

Please be advised that, from 1 July 2026, new European Union customs regulations apply to all commercial goods imported into EU member states.

As a result, all orders shipped from Tristan da Cunha to EU countries may be subject to customs charges, taxes, and processing fees upon arrival, regardless of the value of the goods.

These charges are set and collected by the customs authorities in the destination country and are not controlled by Tristan da Cunha Post Office.

Customers are solely responsible for paying any import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, handling charges, or other applicable costs before their parcel can be delivered.

Please note:

• These charges are determined by your country's customs authorities.
• Tristan da Cunha Post Office cannot predict, collect, or reimburse these fees.
• Failure to pay the required charges may result in delays, the return of your parcel, or its disposal by the destination country's customs authorities.

We recommend that customers check with their local customs office before placing an order if they require further information about any charges that may apply.
